Many of you Friends of FRUiTS will be familiar by now with one of our favorite brands BooFooWoo. These clothes first came to Japan in May 1984 when the first store opened at Kottoh street in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. Since then they have travelled the world enjoying success and popularity wherever they went, but now it seems hard to find their clothing outside Japan! Four years ago while travelling in the south of France, Kayoko (the director of FRUiTS Children's Clothing) and I were camping with a friendly French family just outside the village of Plazac.   They had an Organic vegetable garden and we carved our names on their pumpkins.   They also carved wood, to be precise they carved wooden handles for locally made pocket knives. more...
